A stretch of the Palisades Parkway has reopened after a car fire initially closed both southbound lanes.

The incident occurred at Exit 5 (Route 303) in Orangetown just before 4:30 p.m. The left lane reopened just after 5 p.m., and the right lane at around 5:30 p.m.
